Gore galore as revellers have a halloween night on the town in Bognor

A mass of blood was spattered throughout Bognor Regis town centre on Saturday night (October 31).

Thankfully it was of the fake variety as hundreds of costume-clad revellers marked the full moon of halloween with themed events at a number of venues.

Party-goers at the William Hardwicke pub dressed up for the occasion in various guises ranging from ghouls and zombies to devils and witches.

While the town may not be renowned as a hotbed of supernatural activity, there were plenty of spooky sights to be seen as revellers partied into the small hours.

Further afield, Barchester's Westergate House care home in Fontwell was a den of ghoulish activity as its halloween party got in to full swing.

Staff, residents and guests got in to the spirit of things with trick or treat, fancy dress and an apple bobbing competition.

General manager David McLaughlan said: "Our staff love an opportunity to dress up and what better time of the year to do this than halloween?

"We've had a whole range of tricks and treats for the people that live here and their guests today and we have all really enjoyed every moment of it."
