Hastings line trains delayed between Battle and Robertsbridge due to '˜trespasser'

Passengers heading up to London fromn Hastings and Battle are currently facing delays this afternoon (Saturday, March 18).

Southeastern, which runs the services from Hastings to London Charing Cross and London Bridge, tweeted at around 2.20pm that trains between Robertsbridge and Battle are experiencing delays due to reports of a trespasser on the tracks.

The company said on its website that disruption is expected until 5.30pm.

The trespasser was spotted on the line between Robertsbridge and Battle.

Emergency services were called to attend to take the person safely away from the line.

The trespasser was safely taken off the line at around 3.30pm.
