Does your group, club or organisation have an event planned for the next few months? Send you details to me as soon as you can, I can then give your event some advance publicity. Don’t leave it til the last week, tell people about your event early so they can put the date in their diaries.
The Hurst Green Community shop & Café is now building its volunteer list for the shop. For those of you are still interested who can spare a couple of hours a week then there is a valuable task waiting for you!
There are so many reasons to volunteer for and be part of this worthy community project but here are a few reasons expressed by those who have put their name forward already:
1, It will help to meet new people in the village. 2, Getting back to old values. 3, Looking for a fresh challenge. 4, Learning a new skill. 5, Good work experience for young or unemployed. There is a volunteer meeting on March 24 in the Hurst Green village hall at 10.30am for those who have expressed an interest.
If you are considering volunteering for an hour or two and want to find out more then you are free to attend. Otherwise you can enquire further by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
