A21 Fatalities

If you didn’t see the Observer dated 17th January 2014 The front page was dominated by the news that our lovely lady refuse collector Rachel Vigar was injured on the A21 She was crushed by a van that crashed into her whilst she was loading a bin by Ashdene Service Station. Thankfully the bin apparently took most of the impact and she sustained a broken wrist and severe bruising. However, she will probably be off work for sometime. We wish her well and send our blessing for a quick recovery.

It really is time there was at least a 50mph (maybe with flashing sign) restriction from Flimwell to a 30mph flashing sign at Coopers Corner. With the Farm Shop, petrol stations either side of the road, plus a garage and a vehicle cleaning station along this stretch of road, it’s about time someone got their finger out before someone else is killed, as we are aware there have been a number of fatalities along this stretch of road. It was a miracle Rachel wasn’t killed.

Can you help me?

Exploring Christianity

Would you like to meet with others to have some open discussions on issues around life, faith, the universe and God?

We are a small group of Hurst Green Christians who attend local churches. We do not have all the answers but we love discussing and sharing our faith. There’s no hard-sell, just an opportunity to unpack some of the subjects that are close to all our hearts. Please do join us for a series of evenings, fitted around you, to do just that.

Pet & fowl owners beware!!!

2 weeks ago approx. 10.15am an enormous fox came through our garden in Acorn Way

There’s 6’ panel fencing all around the garden...

This giant jumped into and out of the garden with ease carrying a something white in it’s mouth.

I do hope no-one has lost a pet in this area.

I lived in the country for many years and have never seen a fox as large as this one.
