Last Saturday’s Church Market was another excellent event raising £334. September’s Market, the last of 2013, will be on Saturday 21st.

Nick Warren the Treasurer of Icklesham Trust reports that “the net funds from the Fete and Flower Show are so far £2015 with money still coming in. This excellent effort by everyone concerned will help run the Memorial Hall and Sports Pavilion over the next year. This is in addition to the funds made by each of the many village clubs and organisations that took part. Time for a bit of well-earned self-congratulation by everyone involved.”

The Icklesham Players are holding another Murder Mystery Dinner on Friday 30 August at 7.30 in the Memorial Hall. For the ticket price of £8 you not only get a three course with a glass of wine, but you get the chance to win a prize for your table by correctly guessing the murderer and the motive.. There will also be a quiz with a prize for the winners. You can book a table for four to eight people or individuals can be put together to form a team.

Bank Holiday weekend; Icklesham Village Store is open tomorrow Saturday 24 9am - 3pm. It is closed Sunday 25 and Bank Holiday Monday 26. The Windmill Orchard farm Shop and Tea Room is open Saturday 24 9 -5 . Sunday 25 and Monday 26 10 -4.

Thursday 5 September polling in Winchelsea ward for the vacant seat on Icklesham Parish Council. The candidates Richard Comotto and Anna Hargreaves are both Winchelsea residents. Only those on the electoral roll in that ward are entitled to vote.

Icklesham Casuals start the 2013/14 season with a 2nd team friendly away to Robertsbridge 2nd team on Saturday 24.
