The Robin Hood’s recent Quiz Night in memory of Gary Grainger raised £300 for St Michael’s Hospice and the Sarah LeeTrust help at home.The Chairman of the Bonfire Society Kevin Wall thanks all seven teams who played and everybody else who was involved.

A week tomorrow, Saturday 15 June, there is a Craft Fair in the Memorial Hall 10am - 3pm. Stalls with custom made bracelets, essential oils,pottery,bags,cushions,greetings cards, stationery and lots more. The Church will be selling plants to raise funds for the following weekend’s Flower Festival. Refreshments available . Lots of comments saying what friendly social events Icklesham Craft Fairs are. Free Parking next to the Hall on the Recreation Ground and a great children’s playground.

Icklesham and Barbarians Cricket Club has started its season. The Club would like to hear from any budding cricketers, young or old, who would like to play. Interested?email [email protected]

During matches it is necessary to lock the Zip Wire. This is a Health and Safety measure.

Icklesham Flower Festival and Art Exhibition will be in The Parish Church in two weeks’ time. The Flower theme is ‘’Crafts and Hobbies’’.

Sunday 23 June 10am ‘’Songs of Praise’’ 11am - 5pm Festival and Exhibition.

At the same time in the Memorial Hall there will be demonstrations of Spinning, Lace Making and Patchwork and the monthly Church Market will be in full swing with popular cake and produce stalls,a plant stall, a Tombola and Debbie’s handmade cards. Refreshments will be available including Ploughman’s Lunches and Strawberry Cream Teas.

Donations for any of the stalls would be very much appreciated.

A number of donations helping to sponsor some of the flower arrangements have been gratefully received.

Christian Aid collections in Icklesham raised an excellent £522.
