Icklesham School celebrates Quality Mark Award

Pupils staff and parents of Icklesham CE Primary School were delighted to be awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark for the sixth time this month.

The award promotes, supports and celebrates progress and improvements made by a school in English and Maths.

The report congratulates the school on setting and achieving challenging targets for children and particularly commended the school on achieving excellent results in reading, writing and mathematics.

The school is proud to add the Basic Skills Quality Mark to its Arts Mark Gold Award and School Games Award.

The children are looking forward to combining their passion for the arts and writing in a project with author, illustrator and artist Ed Boxall early next year.

Head Teacher Mrs Robinson praised the work of staff and children in aspiring to be the best they can be.

Mrs Robinson is pictured with Deputy Head Mrs Godfrey and the youngest and eldest children of the school.

Icklesham School is currently running tours for prospective parents for September 2015.

The next tours are on Thursday November 27 at 2pm and Thursday December 14 at 9.15am.
