Tonight, Friday 8th, in the Village Hall there will be the next Winter Lecture arranged by the Iden and District Natural History Society. This will be an illustrated talk by Mr. David Fletcher about British Wildlife.

Do you have about an hour and a half spare every other month? If so, you are just the person the Iden Church Cleaning Team is looking for. If you feel that you could help, please phone Mrs. Anne Hayward on 280 146 to discuss the details.

The Lent Lunches are going to be on Tuesdays this year. There will be a frugal lunch, discussions and thoughts. Donations will be given to charitable causes. The first one is on 19th, followed by 26th, and March 5th, 12th and 19th. The time is 12.30 to 1.45.

Please book Saturday 20th April for the Robin Hood Panto. Get it in your diary now and be sure not to miss this production with an all star cast !!

On Monday 11th February the Iden and Playden Garden Society will have a very interesting illustrated talk from Mr. Hilary Newman. His subject is “The Winter Garden.” This begins at 7.30 pm.

Wednesday 13th February is Ash Wednesday. There will be service with Ashing at 7 pm in Iden church.

The 9.30 am service for the first Sunday in Lent will be a Family service, led by the Vicar.
