Iden Players are very busily rehearsing for Robin Hood, the Pantomime ,to be performed on 20th April. They will be raising money for three local “good causes” - Iden Church, Iden Village Hall and the Iden Goat Sanctuary. In the spirit of Robin Hood, and to save the cast having to steal from the rich (!) there will be a Grand Raffle at both performances. Would anybody be willing to donate super prizes? Please contact Teresa on 280 143 or Ian on 280 010. All contributions will be most gratefully received.

The Parish Council will be meeting on Tuesday 4th March at 7.30 pm in the village hall. Remember that there is always an item on the agenda where members of the public may raise any concerns or ask questions.

The Iden and District Natural History Society continues its programme of Winter Lectures next Friday, 8th March. The talk should have been about *Boating and Birding down the Brahmaputra”. given by Margaret and Martin Sheppard. But due to some equipment failure, this cannot now take place. Instead Mr. Colin Page will return for another session about Designs in Nature. If you enjoyed his talk last month, here is another opportunity to see some of his superb slides. The meeting begins at 7.30 pm. Visitors are asked to contribute £3 as an entrance fee.

There will be the next Lent Lunch on Tuesday at 12.30 pm, followed by a discussion and some thoughts. Meet in the Old Hall.

The Vicar continues to lead the mid-week services of Morning Prayer at 9.30 am and Evening Prayer at 3.30 pm in church on Wednesday.

The 9.30 am service for the third Sunday of Lent will be a Family Service led by the Vicar.
