The Iden and Playden Garden Society Autumn Show continued its traditional high standards across all sections. It was pleasing to see an excellent display of fruit and vegetables after the miserable weather decimated the section at the earlier shows this year. The colourful displays of late garden flowers also helped the show year end on a high. The imaginative Floral Art classes, as ever, drew much attention from visitors who were also very amused by the “Funny Vegetable Animals” Class.

The Ipgs Annual General Meeting

The AGM saw the return of the existing Officers and Committee. Members recorded their appreciation of the Committees work over the past year. Members were asked to help recruit more to the Society as there had been a slight drop in membership attributed to some residents had moved away. It was also announced that next year some of the illustrated talks would be held on Friday afternoons hoping that this would be more suitable for attendance.

The mid-week services continue on Wednesday at 9.30 am for Morning Prayer and 3.30 pm for Evening Prayer.

The 9.30 am service will be Parish Communion.
