A-levels: Students fly high at Buckswood School

Pupils and staff at Buckswood School are celebrating today (Thursday, August 18) after another year of A-level and International Baccalaureate (IB) success.

The school in Guestling saw a 93 per cent A to E pass rate and a 100 per cent pass rate for the IB.

Mike Shaw, head of sixth form, said: “We are all delighted for our pupils and their families and send congratulations to them and our hard-working teachers after another year of strong A-level and IB results.

“They now have the pick of university offers and I wish them all luck as they embark on the next chapter of their academic careers.

“At Buckswood we believe in supporting our alumni throughout their lives, and just because they have left the school they will always be part of the Buckswood family.

“I look forward to seeing them in the future to hear about their successes and the door will always be open to offer advice and connections within the Old Buckswoodian network.”

Some headline results include Sarah Lin, who scored AAAA, Robert Ward, ABB, Baris Uysal, who gained AAAB, Chris Wong, who achieved A*BB and Shyrin Imperiale, who got A*AA.

Agatha Kempf achieved three A grades, Julian Martinez, an A, two Bs and a C grade, Eric Kung, ABB, and Harm Berents, who scored AABC.
