Light up stars and hearts to remember your loved ones

Every year in December the Lights of Love service from St Michael's Hospice offers the opportunity to remember a loved one by dedicating a star or heart on a Christmas tree.

Whether your loved one received the care of St Michael’s Hospice or not, local or further afield, all can be remembered at Lights of Love. Each star or heart will be placed next to a light on a tree at the location of your choice and your stars or heart will remain on the tree until New Year’s Eve.

Everyone is welcome to attend the services, which will be taking place in nine different locations: St Mary’s Church in Battle, St Mary the Virgin in Ninfield, St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Bexhill on Sea (please note new location for 2016), St Mary’s Church in Rye, Hastings Crematorium, St Thomas the Martyr in Winchelsea and All Saints Church in Hastings Old Town. In addition to these, the Hospice is delighted to announce a new location for 2016, Little Common Methodist Church in Little Common.

Services at each location will take place on Sunday December 4 at 3pm, with tree lighting ceremonies at 4pm. Additionally there will be a non-religious service at the Hospice in St Leonards on Sea on Wednesday 7th December at 6pm.

The Christmas trees are very generously donated by Littledown Farm Christmas Trees in Westfield.
