The annual Christmas display of illuminated homes and gardens at Westfield has raised an impressive £8,365.27 for St. Michael’s Hospice.
The amount raised was despite the lights being targeted by vandals who smashed some displays and stole set-piece lights.
The incident caused outrage in the village and saw people rallying around to share lights with properties that had been affected.
The spectacle attracts people from miles around who make donations.
A spokesperson for the Hospice said: Thanks to the huge efforts of the organisers, residents and shakers of collecting buckets - and of course the generous public who came to admire it all.
