Lions and bears provide essential comforts

TEDDY bears have proved such a hit with youngsters needing comfort in moments of crisis that Bexhill Lions Club have given more.

Club members went to Bexhill Ambulance Station last Friday to present a further consignment of teddy bears to Sussex Ambulance Service.

The teddy bears given by the Lions on previous occasions have been used to good effect by ambulance personnel.

Young casualties are "awarded" teddy bears for being brave. Other bears have been given to children needing hospital treatment as a diversion as they travel by ambulance. Seen here receiving the teddies are Stuart Webb and Dee Dacosta.
