Man found dead in Wick house
FIREFIGHTERS responding to an emergency call found a body in a Wick house.
They went to Helyers Green just before 10pm last night (Thursday, January 20), after neighbours spotted smoke coming from the home, but when they arrived they found the 78-year-old dead in a chair.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Paramedics confirmed the man was dead after entry was gained to the property. The smoke was coming from a pan that had been left on a cooker.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
