Beki Adam has lived in Mid Sussex for 40 years, and says she wants to support small businesses, the Princess Royal Hospital and five train stations as they are ‘fundamentals for our future health’.

She runs an eco-campsite, and her uncle runs a small business in Lindfield. She presented the television show Top Gear in her 20s and lived as a Buddhist nun for 17 years.

“I’d like to see a Sussex bank – which at the moment, regulations make difficult. Small traders should have access to a locally based and humane decision-making process, not just a software programme for the small loans which are often needed by local firms,” she said.

“I’m offering a viable option for people who have lost faith in the main political parties. When we don’t vote, we are still governed.”

Beki supports the NHS Reinstatement Bill, wants to protect the countryside and see affordable homes become a focus for Mid Sussex.
