The Friday Coffee Morning Market has now got a vegetable stall, which should make the event even more popular.

The market is held on the last Friday of every month in the Village hall from 9am until 12 noon, with a large range of stalls including jewellery, cards, ceramics, cheese, meats, jams, plants, furniture, candle as and wooden items. Some people just go along for the coffee and cake. All welcome.

Beckley Players’ latest production, Key for Two, a farce directed by Ray Iremonger continues this weekend, with a theatre supper night, with tickets at £15, this evening (Friday) and Saturday’s final performance is £6. Tickets are available from Ann Bowler – 01797 260232.

Dance Club meets in the Village Hall each Friday, at 7.30pm, and Badminton Club is in the Pretious Sports Hall at 8pm.

Northiam Primary School will be holding their Summer Fair on Saturday 11am until 3pm. Stalls will include jewellery, cards, gifts, face-painting, cakes and raffle. Come along to the school and enjoy a glass of Pimm’s and a delicious barbeque.

Messy Church returns on Sunday at 4pm, when the theme will be The Olympics. Come and flex your muscles. Everyone very welcome, especially families and children.

Willing Fingers will meet in the Church Centre on Monday at 2pm. Decorated scarves are on the agenda – materials provided but bring along extra bits to brighten them up! Charge for materials and don’t forget your sewing kit.

Tuesday brings us Tadpoles Toddler Group in the School Hall at 9.15am and Line Dancing in the Village Hall at 7.30pm.

Coffee Stop welcomes all-comers to the Church Centre each Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon for a friendly chat over coffee and biscuits. Northiam WI will be having their summer Strawberry Tea this week.

Looking ahead, Northiam Football Club is looking for new keen players to join the second team, currently in Division 6 of the East Sussex league. Training will start on the Playing Fields at the end of July, and anyone interested should contact Tony Bishop 01797 252843 (minimum age 16years).

Rye and District branch of the National Trust will be travelling to Windsor on Tuesday to explore The Royal landscape in the company of a Blue Badge Guide.

On Sunday 15th July there will be a Charity Show in aid of Rye and District Association of the National Trust and the Rye Community Centre, at the Barn Theatre, Smallhythe,  starting at 5.00 pm. ‘Summer Cocktail’ is a musical review devised and directed by Martin Wimbush. It is a colourful mix of entertaining sketches, songs and prose by some of the greatest comedy writers including, Noel Coward, Cole Porter, Alan Bennett, etc.Also featured is Gerald Moon in his one man show ‘Off The Cuff’.
