On-the-spot fines for litter louts
LITTER louts and graffiti writers will be forced to pay on-the-spot fines.
Wealden District Council will issue fines of up to 75 for these two offences.
The council has already issued its first fixed penalty notice fine for 75 to someone for dropping litter.
Street scene officers and others are authorised to fine people they catch abandoning vehicles, dropping litter, fly posting, writing graffiti, dumping shopping trollies or damaging litter bins.
