Open Evening at Bexhill College

Hundreds of 15 year olds beat a path to Bexhill College to find out what it has to offer for their future. An open day was held so students could discover more about what is available to them from next September.

They talked with teaching staff about the broad range of subjects taught at different AS Levels, from accounting to travel and tourism, with media, performing arts, ICT, film studies, childcare and art in between.

Deputy Principal Rob Hill was delighted by the response from youngsters wanting to discuss their continuing education.

He said: "I was very pleased indeed to see the amount of interest. We had a remarkable number of students, especially considering this was the second open day we have had in three weeks.

"The response does show how much interest in post-16 education there is in this area. It is very encouraging - it shows they have confidence in the local education providers, and it shows development of the Bexhill Partnership which looks to provide education from basically age five onwards, and involves infant schools, secondary school and us."
