Open garden raises money for Rye charity

An Open Garden event in Rye raised an impressive £924 for Rye charity ARRCC.

Irna Mortlock, from ARRCC, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Rae Festing for her generosity again this year by opening her garden to the public to raise funds for us.

“The Sun shone and people came to buy stunning clothes from the Vintage Stall, to drink Pimm’s and to try the mouth-watering array of cakes, all homemade by staff and volunteers.

The Grand Raffle was a great success with prizes donated by local businesses.”

Margaret Graham from ARRCC who organised the event thanked Rye Pottery, Rye Retreat, Pixels, Cafe des Fleurs, Val Townsend and the River Haven for donating prizes as well as staff, members and volunteers.
