Thanks to each and every one of you

This week I would really like to say a massive thank you to everybody who has supported us over the years '“ each and every one of you have played a part in making it possible for the Community Team to provide care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families here in East Sussex.

As I am sure most of you are aware, the Hands Up! campaign that has been running in East Sussex for over a year now, has really helped to make a difference. Whether you put your Hands Up! to volunteer, to fundraise, by taking part in one of our events, to donate, or by speaking to somebody about the work we do – it has made a huge difference to the children and families that need us.

This year has seen the Community Team grow to meet the increasing demands for care in the area, and we now have four nurses, three care support workers and a family therapist. This means we can meet the needs of the children and families we currently support, and are also able to reach out to the other children and families that so desperately need us.

It just wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and support of the local community – so from me, and the rest of the Community Team – thank you!
