The launch of our Chestnut Sussex 100 bike ride last year was a huge success for Chestnut’s cycling programme; raising over £35,000 from our first event. Thanks to its immediate popularity I am delighted to announce that the Chestnut Sussex 100 will be an annual fixture in our cycling calendar, with this year’s event taking place on Saturday 27 September.
The 2015 event will feature a 64km and 103km route as well as a brand new 31km route for those new to the pedals. Cyclists will begin from Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum before taking to the roads of East Sussex on a challenging but scenic sponsored ride through the Weald.
Registration costs £35 and includes full professional support on the day including well signed routes, refreshment stops, medics, mechanical support, chip timing, event photography, sports massage and a finisher’s medal.
Our cycling event partners are well known local cycling shops Mr Cycles Seaford and Shoreham Giant. Rod, Maria and their teams of experienced staff are supporting us in helping riders to get the most out of their sponsored cycling event for Chestnut Tree House.
Whether you are an experienced cyclist or relatively new to the pedals, our team will provide support on the day to see you through to the finish line. Registration is open at www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/sussex100 and will close on Monday 14 September 2015.
