LETTER: Still flooding after 30 years

I noted with interest the report in your 30 Years Ago feature on the demolition of the railway bridge in Southwater, and the little aside about the flooding issue.

Well here we are 30 years later and we still have flooding in the autumn and winter caused by the small pipe running under the Country Park entrance getting blocked and overflowing taking the fallen leaves down the road to block the grills to cause a flood.

Despite a lot of work done over the years the problem has never been addressed.
