Council right to allow prayer choice

I WOULD like to thank Rother District Council for opting to hold their prayer sessions before their meetings and not having prayers on the agenda, thereby allowing council members the freedom to choose if they wish to attend.

There has been a lot in the news recently regarding secularism, but this freedom of choice is just what secularists are campaigning for.

Unfortunately, there are politicians who would seek to remove that most basic of human rights: free will.

Baroness Warsi and Eric Pickles have been the most critical of the freedom of belief we now enjoy, and given half a chance I feel sure they would like to impose their own particular brand of religion upon the rest of us.
