Go wild at Born Free’s first Sussex golf day

Horsham-based international wildlife charity the Born Free Foundation is holding the first ever ‘Go Wild Golf Day’ at Slinfold Golf and Country Club on Friday, September 13 - and are looking for people to join them.

Sussex’s finest golf and country club will be the location of this prestigious event where golfers are being invited to challenge the Born Free team as they negotiate their way around this strategically designed and beautifully manicured golf course.

The fun day of 18-holes will include refreshments, team prizes and a three-course lunch, with a Born Free ‘Pride’ Jacket also being awarded to the winning individual.

This exciting day will help to raise vital funds to support the Born Free Foundation in their work to ‘Keep Wildlife in the Wild’ by protecting threatened species in their natural habitats, stopping suffering and rescuing individual animals in need.

Joanne Bartholomew, Born Free’s Events and Fundraising Coordinator, explains why she hopes people will get involved,

“We are really looking forward to our first ever ‘Go Wild Golf Day’ at Slinfold Golf and Country Club, and it is set to be a fun day that will help raise much-needed funds to help Born Free to protect vulnerable animals. The Born Free team are already getting their practice in ahead of the event so we hope lots of people will sign up to challenge them!”

Places for the ‘Go Wild Golf Day’ are £50 per person, which includes 18 holes and a presentation lunch. Sponsorship opportunities are also available upon request.
