I love my locally sourced fresh produce box

Several weeks before the current lockdown I took advantage of a voucher in the Herald for Roots in Grove Road.

I got 10 per cent off a trial of a vegetables box and I’ve continued with a weekly box ever since.

I am so pleased I did.

Every week I arrange delivery for box of largely locally sourced produce (eggs, fruit, home made preserves) in addition to some lovely fresh vegetables produced with minimal use of pesticides.

Roots organise the box and try to accommodate my particular wants, but I enjoy the element of surprise too.

I plan to continue with my box, especially as Gavin is very helpful and enthusiastic about what he sells.

I also plan to continue using Roots and I would like to thank them and the Herald for initial promotion which encouraged me to try this enterprising local business.
