We have recently come across this photograph and reference in the paper copy of the BCB held at Sandwell Archives in Smethwick.
We believe this is the earliest known photograph of the club in existence. The letter that accompanied the image was from a Mr E.F. Harley of 12 Gads Green Crescent in Dudley. Mr Harley was given the photograph by a Mr Sam Wood who was then living in Horsham, Sussex. Mr Wood was born in Tipton living in Horseley Road and an active member of the Harriers.

Hide AdI appreciate that this BCB reference is some 35 years old and the image well over 100 years but we would like to obtain a copy of the image to scan/preserve in our archive.
I wonder if there are any relatives of Mr Wood alive in the Horsham area who might know of the whereabouts of the photo?
