Parking is getting ever more difficult
WELCOME to Waitrose. Let us hope they occupy the site for a little longer than their predecessors, but I feel they are erring on the optimistic side as a regular comment regarding the Co-op is “they are too expensive”.
As for the council going ahead with developing St Martin’s, is it not time this idea was dropped? Motorists did not seem to like giving up this area for parking to the market.
Many years ago, a scheme was proposed which could have included a supermarket, but was turned down. It was also proposed to build the library on this site.

Hide AdWith close on 100 flats/houses either built or to be built in the vicinity, mostly without garages, the last thing surely is to make it even more difficult for the motorist to shop in our town.
