Spring flower show in Pulborough
There was a very good display of all kinds of spring flowers, and the flower arranging classes were particularly well supported this year.
The flower section judge, Mr Barry Newman, had a particularly difficult task to decide which exhibit should win the ‘Best in Show’ award, as two entries in the container grown flower section were of the highest standard.

Mrs Dudman’s exhibit has been ‘Best in Show’ for two years in succession.
The other sections, cookery, home produce, handicrafts and photography, were also well supported, and the local children were as creative as ever with their exhibits in the junior section. Tesco Metro Store and Sainsbury’s Pulborough, very kindly provided prizes for each child exhibitor, and also for the chocolate tombola stall.
At the end of the afternoon the trophies and prizes were presented to the winners in each section by Mr Peter Cooper, president of the Society.
