Superb pub food in Littlehampton

I emigrated to Australia 40 years ago and recently returned to Littlehampton to spend a couple of weeks in the town where I was born.

Being a person who is well travelled, you can appreciate I am accustomed to eating on the move.

I soon discovered The Dolphin in Surrey Street and ordered a meal, I was served by a smiling courteous and helpful waitress, and my home made steak and kidney pie, piping hot, was the finest and most reasonably priced meal I had eaten for a long time.

It was clear the food was freshly prepared and cooked on the day it was served by Helen the owner and chef.

I was as equally impressed by their Sunday roast.

If this pub is representative of other pubs in your town, then I can only express my envy to you, as I will be returning to Australia very soon.

I can assure you that the standard of food in most Australian pubs cannot compare with that found at the Dolphin.

I would recommend anyone to try The Dolphin.
