Predictably, following publication of the Dyson Report into the 1995 BBC interview with Princess Diana the Government is considering a review of governance at our national independent broadcaster, a review of governance in 2021 regarding events 25 years ago!

Equally predictably the Tory tabloids have taken the opportunity to throw mud at the Corporation to help cover up their own dubious practices.

Lord Leveson clearly recommended how the printed press could be both responsible and free; his recommendations have been ignored.

The Conservative Government cancelled ‘Leveson 2’ making life easier for their supportive press barons, and continues to show no respect for honesty, integrity or the rule of law. Hypocrisy is alive and well and living in the corridors of power.
