CAROL SERVICE : The Carol Service at Peasmarsh church was absolutely packed the other week, both The Barleycorns and the Peasmarsh and District Choir gave great performances. A truly wonderful start to Christmas.
CHRISTMAS CARDS : Wendy Dixon has asked me to include the following - My name is Wendy, I suffer from Parkinson’s and sometimes find things difficult. With people’s help I have started making cards from unwanted cards, so if you would like to donate any unwanted cards I will use them to make new cards; thank you and I hope you all had a Happy Christmas and Happy New Year! If anyone has cards to donate to Wendy they can be dropped off to her at 5 Park View, School Lane.
HORSE AND CART: Rother has turned down the planning application for the conversion of the Horse and Cart pub into two dwellings - if you can, take a look at Rother’s website to see the reasons they gave for their decision, the planning reference is RR/2015/2558/P. It has been suggested that a residents meeting could be held to discuss the future of the pub - how many of you would be interested in attending? I will let you know if/when a meeting has been arranged; it would be good to have the opportunity to hear what everyone thinks.
DOCTORS SURGERIES: These will be held on January 5 and 19, 11.30am at the hall, please book your appointments through Rye Medical Centre.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING: The January meeting of Peasmarsh Parish council is on January 5, 7.30pm at the hall, all Peasmarsh residents welcome to attend.
CHURCH SERVICES : This Sunday January 3 there will be a service of Holy Eucharist at Peasmarsh church at 10am.
