A GROUP of cyclists from the Rye area took part in the recent London to Brighton Bike Ride to raise finds for the Oliver Curd Trust.

The Trust provides holiday breaks for families of seriously ill children and was set up in memory of Peasmarsh School pupil Oliver Curd, who died from a rare disease.

The Trust has purchased a caravan at Crowhurst Park.

Group members taking part in the ride included oliver’s mum Sarah, Stacey Boreham, Anneka Burgess, Jane Elcombe, Rachel Rhodes, Anne Hestletine, Graham Till, Phil Baker, Dave Robus, Debbie Sherwood and Chris Jackson.

Everyone completed the 54 mile course safely and some even had time to sit on the beach.

Its not too late to sponsor the group at Sarah said: “Special thanks to Richard, Joe and Tony Curd and Mike Berry for giving up their Fathers Day to support the group by driving the van and mini bus.”
