Jacqueline said: “ I think during the isolation it is something that will help maybe just break up the humdrum of the day.

“The later recording could maybe just help as someone sits and listens and relaxes away from reality for a few minutes.
“Most people like being read to. I have always loved reading and reading bedtime stories to my own children.

“My mum encouraged us to read and she also loved reading to us. So to share my love of reading, I started a Facebook page called Jac-a-story.

“You can immerse yourselves in a book, temporarily cut yourself off from reality and lose yourself in a world of fantasy and adventure.

“I read a book suitable for a young audience in the morning and livestream a chapter a night, from a book aimed at the older listener, at the moment, it is The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. I aim to read this between 9.30pm and 10pm.

“Each chapter is saved so if the livestream is missed then it doesn’t matter.

“I am trying to choose books suited to all the public as it is a public site. People can send in suggestions and the children can draw pictures and these are posted on to the site, no surnames or locations.”
She said the Facebook page had been ‘well-received’, which has already had positive feedback.
