The Festival is taking place online again this year due to Covid restrictions that prevent large gatherings, but organisers are encouraging people to join the fun.

Events will be broadcast over the entire weekend, as last year, with the help of Isolation Station Hastings.

Chairman Keith Leech said: “We want people to join us, whether it is from a beer garden, or their own garden. We want to see houses dressed up with ribbons and greenery and people greening up their noses.

“We are also asking community groups to send in videos of themselves, in groups of six, celebrating Hastings Jack in the Green. Videos should be no longer than three minutes.

“Coverage over the weekend will include footage of bogies, Morris dancers, giants and other groups associated with the popular festival. The event will be streamed world-wide.
