St Leonards pub offers rare tasting session of some of the most sought after beers in the country

The Marina Fountain at St Leonards has managed to secure some of the most sought after craft beers in the country.

The Northern Powerhouse is a collaboration between Northern Monk, in Leeds and some other top breweries from across the North.

Each year they release a new range of strictly limited edition beers in beautifully illustrated cans, which sell out in no time.

The marina Fountain has managed to secure a few cases and will be cracking them open in a special tasting session, which will take place at the pub on Wednesday July 31, from 7.30pm.

Seven different beers on offer include North, a triple fruited four percent Gose sour beer; Wylam, a six percent tropical sour IPA; Buxton, a 7.4 percent West Coast IPA, Coudwater, at 8.2 percent and By The River - a ten percent by volume Imperial maple brown beer.

For £15 a ticket, people will get to sample a third of each large can and the chef will be providing nibbles.
