Ewhurst and Staplecross Bonfire Society were joined by other Sussex Societies, including Hastings, Battle, Northiam and Rye, as they led the procession in their distinctive clown outfits. The procession made its way to the recreation ground for a bonfire and fireworks display.
As well as hosting the annual village bonfire celebrations, the society raises money throughout the year for local charities and good causes.
