Theft from Hastings Old Town church

A metal crucifix has been taken from the altar of St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Hastings Old Town.

The crucifix was taken from the church, which is in the High Street, on Wednesday. The church is appealing for its return or any information on its whereabouts.

News of the theft caused outrage on social media, with one user commenting. ‘It beggars belief that someone would steal from a church’.
