Performing arts show may have been a UK first

BOUNDSTONE Community College's careers show on Thursday for youngsters who want to work in the performing arts was a resounding success.

About 300 pupils from across the whole of West Sussex visited the show at the Assembly Hall, Worthing.

One of the organisers, Ian Tout, said: "It is definitely something we plan to repeat as an annual event.

"Plus all the representatives have expressed interest in attending again. From here, it only gets bigger."

Mr Tout said the show was the first of its kind in West Sussex and it might even have been the first one in the country.

Among the organisations represented were the BBC, Boundstone Community College Sixth Form, Chichester College, Northbrook College and Splash FM.
