On Friday April 19 Pett W.I. meeting at 2:30pm in Pett Village Hall. The speaker will be Christine Ward, talking about Fairtrade. This meeting is an open meeting, which means visitors are welcome to join us for just £3. The talk begins at 3pm.

Also on Friday April 19 Pett Nats meeting at 7:30pm in Pett Village Hall. The speaker will be John Taylor with a talk entitled ‘ Wildlife in my Garden’.

On Saturday April 20 the Craft Fayre from 10am to 3pm in Pett Village Hall.

Church Services on Sunday April 21 – Book of Common Prayer, St Nicholas, Pett Level at 8am with Richard Barron. There will be a Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

POPP on Tuesday April 23 will feature Keith Osborne and Music for Health. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

On Wednesday April 24 Pett Sports Association will be holding its AGM at 7pm at Pett Village Hall. Visitors are welcome.

The Annual Cycle Ride in aid of Rye bay Coastguard and the Pett Level Rescue Boat is nearly upon us again. It will take place on Sunday May 19 with the regular 30 mile round trip and a 15 mile course for those seeking a more leisurely ride. Both courses start and finish at the Coastguard Station at Rye Harbour with starting times from 8:30 to 10:30am.

You can ride without raising sponsorship and just pay the £5 entry fee. Children under 16 go free but must be accompanied by an adult. Complementary refreshments will be served at the checkpoints en route and there will be a welcoming cup of tea at the finish!

Previous participants will be emailed the entry/sponsorship forms and they will also be available at local shops and the Pett Level Rescue Boathouse. Further information can be obtained from Philippa Strickland,
