Pett and Pett Level

PETT WI: At the Annual Meeting held on Friday November 20 members took the momentous decision and voted by an overwhelming majority to change their meeting dates from Friday afternoons to Wednesday evenings in the third week of each month.

Members also heard a review of the past year, which had included not only a varied and interesting series of speakers but also the Big Village Lunch and the memorable WI Centenary Tea Party.

It is hoped that the change of meeting times will lead to an increase in membership and the first meeting of the new year will be on Wednesday January 20 from 7pm in Pett Village Hall. More details will follow nearer the time.

CRAFT FAIR: There was a good turn out for the Craft Fair held on Saturday November 21 at Pett Village Hall with full capacity in terms of tables and nearly £400 going to hall funds.

CHURCH SERVICES: On Sunday, Morning Worship, Merial Deasy, Pett Church at 9.30am; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10.45am.

VILLAGE CHOIR: On Monday the Village Choir will meet again at 7.30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

PETT OLDER PEOPLE’S PROJECT: On Tuesday POPP will feature Tai Chi with Annie Cryer. The session runs from 10:30am to 2pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

VILLAGE COFFEE MORNING: The Christmas Coffee Morning takes place on Wednesday. There will be a raffle for a hamper of Christmas Goodies with all proceeds going to the Village Hall. There will be the usual excellent coffee and a great selection of cakes, so why not come along to Pett Village Hall, starting at 10am, where Sally and her team will be ready to welcome you?
