Church Services: on Sunday November 30 – Holy Communion, Merial Deasy and Kay Burnett, Pett Church at 9:30am; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.

Village Hall Management Committee: This committee will meet on Monday December 1 at 7pm at Pett Village Hall. The meeting is open to the public so please come along and give your ideas and views on the hall.

Village Choir: Also on Monday December 1 the Village Choir will meet again at 7:30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.

Pett Older People’s Project: On Tuesday December 2, Carol Mellower entertains. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

The Village Coffee Morning: This takes place on Wednesday December 3 There will be a raffle with all proceeds going to the Village Hall. There will be the usual excellent coffee and a great selection of cakes, so why not come along to Pett Village Hall, starting at 10am, where Sally and her team will be ready to welcome you?

Flicks in the Village: On Thursday December 4 Flicks in the Village will be showing The Grand Budapest Hotel (15), which tells of a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protégé. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century. It is a British-German comedy-drama film written and directed by Wes Anderson and has all-star cast including Ralph Fiennes, Adrien Brody, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton and Owen Wilson. As it is December there will be mulled wine and mince pies for members so come along and get into the festive spirit! The film starts at 7:30pm with refreshments served from 7pm. Membership forms are available on the night or you can always pop into the Butchers shop in Pett and grab an application form.
