PETT Level Rescue Boat came to the aid of three Lithuanian men who got into trouble in a rubber dinghy at Winchelsea Beach on Saturday.
The alarm was raised by Dover Coastguard after the dinghy was spotted in trouble at around 3pm.
David Martin, from the Rescue Boat, said: “There was a brisk breeze on Saturday from east to west and it carried them along the beach toward Cliff End,
“When we reached the boat it was almost deflated and close to hitting the rocks. It could have been a very dangerous situation.
“They were clearly worried and relieved to be rescued.”
The craft was taken back to the Rye harbour slipway by the Rye Harbour Lifeboat.
