ACTOR George Clooney and fellow Hollywood stars drew crowds of people to Rye yesterday (Thursday) who were eager to catch a glimpse of them filming the new movie Monuments Men.

Sporting a moustache and wearing jeans and t-shirt, George delighted onlookers by signing autographs. He has co-written, produced and is directing the drama which follows the story of the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives programme, an Allied group, tasked with saving pieces of art before their destruction by Hitler during the Second World War. It is scheduled to be released on December 18 this year.

Also spotted in the Rye area for filming this week were A-list actors Matt Damon, John Goodman, John Goodman, Bill Murray and Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville.
