Emergency response to Worthing crash

A main road in Worthing was blocked after a crash this morning (Monday, February 28).

Heavy southbound traffic had been reported after the two-vehicle collision on Broadwater Road at around 8am.

The road was said to be blocked, with a detour in operation. Stagecoach buses were reportedly being diverted.

Police officers were pictured at the scene, along with an ambulance crew.

Sussex Police confirmed one person suffered a minor injury but, according to the South East Coast Ambulance Service, no one required hospital treatment

The road was cleared at around 10.15am, police said.
