Pressing on with cash drive...

A sponsored ironing event in Felpham saw more than £250 raised for charity.

Organiser Denis Dunham and five female helpers tamed creases in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

They tackled dozens of items during their two-hour sponsored stint at the ironing boards.

The event took place at St Mary's Centre in Felpham. Busy families and mothers who took along their items of clothing to be tackled were able to relax, have a cup of coffee and browse around the stalls that were present.

The more predictable everyday clothing handed in for ironing was joined by several items from the local church, such as surplices and gowns, which needed to be made presentable.

Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP Nick Gibb gave his support for the event when he met the volunteers beforehand.
