A Battle and Langton School pupil has notched up a one hundred percent attendance record in his time at the school.

Andrew Smith says farewell to Battle and Langton CE Primary at the end of this term.

But he leaves behind him the impressive record of having been ever present throughout his seven years of schooling.

Andrew has been in the classroom from 8:45am until 3:15pm every day, with no sickness, medical or dental appointments or time taken for holidays.

Battle and Langton head Simon Hughes said: “This is an absolutely outstanding achievement and speaks volumes of the commitment to education shown by both Andrew and his family.

“We are so proud of Andrew and the example that he has set for the rest of the children during his time here at Battle and Langton.”
