Quality comes as standard at Westergate nursery

Its seven permanent staff were among those from nine childcare organisations to receive a West Sussex quality assurance award at a ceremony last week.

The recognition shows the nursery's policies and procedures are up to date and aimed at giving the youngsters an interesting and enjoyable time there.

Manager Jenny Booker said its open-door policy was one way in which this was shown.

"Everything we do indoors, we can do outdoors as well," she said.

This was part of a concerted effort to make full use of the outside space at the nursery's premises on the Westergate Community School complex in Lime Avenue.
