Reckless driving exposed in film

Young drivers will be confronted with the results of reckless driving in a hard-hitting production in Bognor Regis next week.

Safe Drive Stay Alive sends the strong message about the personal tragedy that results from road accidents caused by careless and drunken motorists.

It is being presented at the Reds venue in Butlins on Tuesday, November 13.

The production is aimed at young people aged between 16 to 18 who are one of the groups most likely to be involved in a serious or fatal accident.

Representatives from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, which compiled the show, along with those from the ambulance service and A and E doctors, will be present.

Roger Wood, the fire and rescue service's community safety manager, said: "The show highlights all the dangers that young drivers may encounter '“ excessive speed, inexperience, boy racing, mobile phones, drinking, drugs and peer pressure.
