Reduced speed limits ouside Bognor schools being considered

Advisory speed limits of 20mph are being considered outside Bognor Regis Nursery School and Edward Bryant Primary School.

The zones for sections of Victoria Drive and London Road are likely to be installed by the county council during 2011/12.

They are intended to improve traffic conditions and child safety by encouraging drivers to be aware of the schools.

They include flashing signs used mornings and afternoons, which advise drivers to keep to 20mph and 'slow' road signs with red surfacing.

Several of the zones have been installed in the Bognor area. Their locations include St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Glamis Street and Rose Green junior and infant schools.
